GeekWeek claim the scoop that Rosie Huntington-Whiteley will soon be confirmed as the female lead in Michael Bay’s Transformers 3, ending minutes of lukewarm anticipation as to who would step into the hotpants of Megan Fox.
It was recently announced that Megan Fox would not be returning for the third Robot Hitting Film, and instantly names span out of the internet ether, including the UK’s own queen of blockbusters Gemma Arterton, but it would be fairly unlikely for an actress whose stars is in such ascendancy to take one the female lead in a Transformers film.
The role amounted to little more than a running, screaming clothes horse in the turgid Transformers sequel, and when the name of Rosie Huntington-Whiteley is thrown into Google there’s a good indication of why she caught Michael Bay’s eye.
As far as I can see this is her first acting role, but given the track record for women in Transformers films this won’t be a problem…
