For a number of years Marvel’s Runaways has been hinting at an appearance on the big screen, as far back as the early 2000’s Kevin Feige and director Peter Sollett were working on a script to bring the younger members of the marvel universe to the big screen in a full-length feature and the show’s official twitter have revealed its first look poster with the world.

Only seven years ago the casting process was in full swing before the studio cancelled its plans to work on an even bigger film saga with the first Avengers movie. Now, in 2017, after the major successes of many made for TV Marvel series such as Daredevil, Luke Cage and Jessica Jones, to name just a few, a new avenue has opened up for the mini marvel heroes to spread their teenage wings.

With the comic book being a major favourite amongst the fans, the team at Hulu have picked up the rights to make the series with The O.C. and Gossip Girl, Josh Schwartz and Stephanie Savage. Schwartz and Savage will serve as co-show runners/writers and will executive produce the series along with Marvel’s Jeph Loeb and Jim Chory.

Marvel’s Runaways tells the story of six diverse teenagers who can barely stand each other but who must unite against a common foe – their parents. The popular classic explores the younger side of the Marvel Universe in a coming of age, new action series.

In the poster, a full cast line-up of our teen hero’s includes Rhenzy Feliz (Teen Wolf) as Alex Wilder, Lyrica Okano (The Affair) as Nico Minoru, Virginia Gardner (Goat) as Karolina Dean, Ariela Barer (New Girl) as Gert Yorkes, Gregg Sulkin (Faking It, Anti-Social) as Chase Stein, and Allegra Acosta (Just Add Magic) as Molly Hernandez.

Marvel’s Runaways will consist of 10-episodes and is set to premiere in 2018.
