After having sold the rights to their comic book World War Robot to Jerry Bruckheimer, Heat Vision are reporting that Lore, another of T. P. Louise (author) Ashley Wood’s (illustrator) creations, is also on its way to the big screen.

With Cory Goodman (Priest) and Jeremy Lott signed on to write the screenplay, the film is reportedly intended by producers to kick-start a Men In Black-esque franchise. According to IDW Publishing, the story, which swaps aliens for mythological beings, goes as follows:

In times past, the world was full of mythical creatures, creatures long since banished and held at bay by the secret society of Shepherds. But when the generational line of Shepherds is broken, a reluctant hero finds her life threatened from every quarter. And the creatures are coming back…

With a stunning visual style already in place, it will be interesting to see just how easily Lore translates to the big screen. Having taken the better part of a decade to get a third Men In Black instalment off the ground, however, you must wonder just how great the demand for anything MIB-esque could possibly be.
