With THE CROODS publicity machine in full tilt, there are no two people more excited than Kirk DeMicco and Chris Sanders. The two co-directors have spent years bringing the caveman comedy to the big screen and the early word is very good.
DeMicco has been in the animation business for a while, and THE CROODS marks his first highly-publicized project. Sanders is a veteran in the animated film world with credits including THE LION KING, LILO AND STITCH and HOW TO TRAIN YOUR DRAGON under his belt.
We spoke with these two filmmakers and discussed choosing the voice cast and collaborating for the first time. We also discussed a possible sequel and the concept for THE CROODS being conceived by…John Cleese?
