Shane Black’s Iron Man 3 is just over a month from hitting the big screen, and smart money says that it’s going to be an epic start for Marvel’s Phase Two in their Cinematic Universe.
The awesome new full-length trailer landed at the start of the month. And just a few days ago, we were treated to a rather sweet IMAX poster. And now, ahead of the Kids Choice Awards this Saturday, Marvel have debuted a new Iron Man 3 TV spot, which will air in full during the show.
Marvel Studios’ Iron Man 3 pits brash-but-brilliant industrialist Tony Stark/Iron Man against an enemy whose reach knows no bounds. When Stark finds his personal world destroyed at his enemy’s hands, he embarks on a harrowing quest to find those responsible. This journey, at every turn, will test his mettle. With his back against the wall, Stark is left to survive by his own devices, relying on his ingenuity and instincts to protect those closest to him. As he fights his way back, Stark discovers the answer to the question that has secretly haunted him: does the man make the suit or does the suit make the man?
Robert Downey, Jr. is of course front and centre once more, reprising his role here as Tony Stark / Iron Man. And he’s joined by another terrific ensemble, led by Gwyneth Paltrow, Don Cheadle, Guy Pearce, Rebecca Hall, Stephanie Szostak, James Badge Dale, Jon Favreau, Wang Xueqi, Fan Bingbing, and Ben Kingsley, with Paul Bettany reprising his role as the voice of JARVIS
Black (Kiss Kiss Bang Bang) has taken over the helm in place of Favreau, and he’s directing from a script he co-wrote with Drew Pearce.
Iron Man 3 will be released in 3D and IMAX 3D on 25th April here in the UK, with its US release date set for the following week on May 3rd. This is going to be absolutely immense. For now, here’s the new TV spot teaser, and we’ll share the full spot when it lands over the weekend.
