Iron-Man-3-IMAX-PosterWe’re just over a month away from the release of Shane Black’s Iron Man 3, and the anticipation really couldn’t be higher. We’ve seen nothing but good things from the upcoming blockbuster – you can catch up on the latest full-length trailer, in case you missed it earlier in the month – and are eagerly awaiting its release.

The film is naturally getting a release on as big a screen as physically possible, and now IMAX have released the IMAX poster for Iron Man 3. Combining the images from the latest poster of Stark and Pepper Potts that we saw this month with some of the character posters that landed last month, this new poster gives us a look at almost all of our main players.

Marvel Studios’ Iron Man 3 pits brash-but-brilliant industrialist Tony Stark/Iron Man against an enemy whose reach knows no bounds. When Stark finds his personal world destroyed at his enemy’s hands, he embarks on a harrowing quest to find those responsible. This journey, at every turn, will test his mettle. With his back against the wall, Stark is left to survive by his own devices, relying on his ingenuity and instincts to protect those closest to him. As he fights his way back, Stark discovers the answer to the question that has secretly haunted him: does the man make the suit or does the suit make the man?

Robert Downey, Jr. is of course front and centre once more here. And he’s starring alongside another awesome ensemble, led by Gwyneth Paltrow, Don Cheadle, Guy Pearce, Rebecca Hall, Stephanie Szostak, James Badge Dale, Jon Favreau, Wang Xueqi, Fan Bingbing, and Ben Kingsley, with Paul Bettany reprising his role as the voice of JARVIS

Black (Kiss Kiss Bang Bang) has taken over the helm from Favreau, directing from a script he co-wrote with Drew Pearce.

Iron Man 3 will be released in 3D and IMAX 3D on 25th April here in the UK, with its US release date set for May 3rd. I have my ticket pre-booked already for the film’s release date on our shores, and cannot wait for that Thursday to come. This is guaranteed to be one of the best films of the year. An epic way to kick-start Marvel’s Phase Two.
