For decades he has been taking out the bad guys for the good guys but it seems now everyone wants to take out Arnold Schwarzenegger in Killing Gunther, his new film which opens next month and we have our first look thanks to a new trailer, which you can view below.
In amongst all of the action movies, Terminator shenanigans and everything in between, Arnie has always been game for laugh or two and his new endeavor looks like he is having a whale of a time. Here he stars as the world’s foremost hitman, taking all of the “big game” away from his small-time compatriots trying to make a living for themselves – and they have had enough and make a plan to take him out once and for all.
Written and directed by SNL alum Taran Killam, the film co-stars Cobie Smulders, Hannah Simone, Bobby Moynihan, Allison Tolman, Aaron Yoo, and more.
Here’s the synopsis:
A group of eccentric assassins are fed up with Gunther, the world’s greatest hit-man and decide to kill him but their plan turns into a series of bungled encounters as Gunther seems to always be one step ahead.
Killing Gunther arrives in the US on Ultra VOD on September 22nd before a limited cinema release and a full on-demand release on October 20th. No word yet on a UK bow.
