This is a piece of casting which immediately makes you think for a moment that you’re seen the two actors in question together in a previous film.
The LA Times are reporting that Keira Knightley is joining Robert Pattinson for David Cronenberg’s futuristic thriller Cosmopolis. The Atonement actress is replacing French Marion Cotillard, who has an enfant on the way.
It will be interesting to see what Cronenberg has planned for the actress, and for Pattinson, for that matter! The actor already another post-Twilight film in the can (Water for Elephants for I Am Legend helmer Francis Lawrence) but this role may be the one which see’s him shed that dour Edward persona.
Knightley may benefit from the film too, as I’m sure the seasoned filmmaker is already thinking of ways to subvert the perceived image of her as some kind of English rose.
