Katherine Waterston (The Agency, The Uprising) has joined the cast of ‘The Best of Us,’ Paramount+’s upcoming six-episode limited series starring and executive produced by Emmy and Tony Award winner and Academy Award nominee Jeremy Strong (Succession, Springsteen: Deliver Me from Nowhere, The Apprentice).
Waterston will play Amy Smith, a lawyer and the soon-to-be ex-wife of Strong’s character, Jason, in the series, which is inspired by the David-versus-Goliath legal battle that secured justice for 9/11’s ailing heroes.

‘The Best of Us’ will dramatise the landmark case that reshaped the fight for accountability following the September 11 attacks. The legal battle stretched across nearly a decade as lawyers fought to secure almost $1 billion in compensation for first responders who fell gravely ill in the aftermath of the tragedy.
Waterston joins a previously announced ensemble cast that includes Andrea Riseborough, Barry Pepper, Neal Huff, Gaby Hoffmann, Sky Yang and John Slattery, among others.
The six-episode limited series is produced by Paramount Television Studios and SISTER. Tobias Lindholm (The Investigation, A War) will write, direct and executive produce, alongside Frank Pugliese (House of Cards), who will also write and executive produce. Strong will executive produce in addition to starring.
