Jude Law has entered into negotiations to join the cast of Disney latest live-action movie ‘Peter Pan’ film, ‘Peter Pan & Wendy’.

Law is up for the role of the pirate villain Captain Hook, a role that has previously been played by the likes of Dustin Hoffman, Jason Isaacs and Garrett Hedlund.

David Lowery is on board to direct the feature. He will also co-write the screenplay alongside Toby Halbrooks. Jim Whitaker will produce.

J.M. Barrie’s story of the boy who never grows old has been adapted numerous times for the big screen with Disney’s 1953 animated classic still the most successful. In 1991, Steven Spielberg jumped on to the Fantasy land adventure with ‘Hook’ which saw Robin Williams play the role of Peter.

Disney are looking to release the title in cinemas.

Law was last seen opposite Blake Lively in ‘Rhythm Section, He also stars in the series ‘The New Pope. His upcoming projects include returning to the role of a young Dumbledore in the third instalment of ‘Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them’.
