Jude Law and Taika Waititi are both currently in negotiations to jump on board of the upcoming Showtime limited series ‘The Auteur’.
Said to have the tone of a Hollywood satire, Law would be up for the eccentric title character. Waititi is attached to executive produce, and direct at least one episode. Law would also serve as executive producer. Waititi will also co-write the show with Peter Warren.
The show is from endeavor content and legendary entertainment and is based on the One Press graphic novel series by James Callahan and Rick spears.

It’s unknown when the show will go into production or how many episodes it will consist off at this stage.
Law can be seen in the second season of the HBO Show ‘The New Pope’ which also stars John Malkovich. He can also currently be seen in ‘Rhythm Section’ alongside Blake Lively. His upcoming projects include the third film in the ‘Fantastic Beasts’ saga which is due to commence filming. He will also be seen in the Sky limited series ‘The Third Day’.
Waititi has started on a high with wins for best-adapted screenplay for ‘Jojo Rabbit’ at this years Oscars and Baftas. He has recently finished up production on ‘Next Goal Wins’ which stars Michael Fassbender and is currently hard at work writing the script for ‘Thor: Love and Thunder’. The Marvel film will see Chris Hemsworth reprise his role of Thor and a return for Natalie Portman.
