This week sees the release of cerebral, sci-fi drama, Little Joe. This captivating, part paranoid family drama tells the tale of plant breeder/single mother Alice Woodard (Emily Beecham) who develops a new strain of flower (the titular Little Joe) that makes people happy.

After taking one of her plants home from work to improve her son Joe’s mental wellbeing, but breaking company regulations by doing so, the plant starts a period of aggressive pollination which Alice fears may have detrimental side effects.

Leading up to Little Joe’s cinema release on Friday 21st February, HeyUGuys met lead actress Emily Beecham (Alice) to discuss her character, performance, the production and what it was like working alongside co-star Ben Whishaw, who plays Alice’s doting co-worker Chris.
