Joseph Gordon-Levitt (Hesher) has officially entered into negotiations to star in The Dark Knight Rises.
Gordon-Levitt’s involvement has been hinted at ever since he appeared in director Christopher Nolan’s Academy Award nominated Inception.
His role has not yet been revealed, but various websites speculate it could well be Hugo Strange.
If the casting is confirmed, Gordon-Levitt will star opposite Christian Bale, Anne Hathaway, Gary Oldman, Michael Caine, Morgan Freeman and Tom Hardy in the threequel.
Cinematographer Wally Pfister, in a recent interview, described the script for The Dark Knight Rises as “phenomenal”.
Production is expected to commence in May.
