I love the look of graphic art in the morning!
Tim Doyle is one of a number of immensely talented artists out there creating original cinema poster for classic and cult movies – whether it be for a retrospective cinema screening or just as stand-alone works of art.
Slash film have picked up on a couple of new posters for Francis Ford Coppola‘s 1979 masterpiece Apocalypse Now (available at TommyGood.com) which Doyle has produced for the Astor Theatre in Australia. The two read and blue images below have a real comic book sensibility about them and are reminiscent in style and quality to the Star Wars posters created last year by our very own Olly Moss.
Surely it’s only a matter of time before the likes of Doyle, Moss and other artist like Eric Tan are tapped by the Hollywood studios to actually produce imagery for new product.
