Wrestler turned actor John Cena is currently circling the next instalment in the Fast and Furious saga according to a social media post from Vin Diesel.

Diesel quoted that he believes Paul Walker is sending him new cast members from beyond the grave before revealing Cena.

“I know this sounds crazy, but every blue moon I feel like Pablo up there sends me someone, another soldier for the fight for truth… and today someone came by the Toretto Gym that speaks to what Pablo would’ve brought me.”

Before we get anywhere near the ninth episode of the action blockbuster, the spin-off ‘Hobbs and Shaw’ will be bringing the entertainment later on in the year. Cena’s former wrestling buddy, Dwayne Johnson heads up the film having to partner with rival and enemy Jason Statham to fight off Idris Elba’s villain.

The synopsis for ‘Hobbs and Shaw’ reads

“Ever since hulking lawman Hobbs (Johnson), a loyal agent of America’s Diplomatic Security Service, and lawless outcast Shaw (Statham), a former British military elite operative, first faced off in 2015’s Furious 7, the duo have swapped smack talk and body blows as they’ve tried to take each other down.

“But when cyber-genetically enhanced anarchist Brixton (Idris Elba) gains control of an insidious bio-threat that could alter humanity forever — and bests a brilliant and fearless rogue MI6 agent (The Crown’s Vanessa Kirby), who just happens to be Shaw’s sister — these two sworn enemies will have to partner up to bring down the only guy who might be badder than themselves.”

Cena’s latest roles were ‘Blockers’, where he played an overprotective Father and the ‘Transformers’ spin-off, ‘Bumblebee’. Cena’s upcoming roles include voicing a character in the Robert Downey Jr. vehicle ‘The Voyage of Doctor Dolittle’. He is currently also in talks to join James Gunn’s ‘Suicide Squad’.
