After taking a break halfway through season 2 for an extended hiatus, Private Eyes starring 90’s Beverly Hills 90210 heartthrob Jason Priestley, finally returns to Universal TV on Monday the 4th of June.

The private detective dramedy, which follows ex-pro athlete Matt Shade, after deciding to make a life-changing decision to join forces with the fierce private investigator, Angie Everett, played by Cindy Sampson (Rookie Blue), forming an unlikely investigative powerhouse. With a questionable history, Shade seizes the chance to use the skills he developed on the ice in his hockey career to do good. His impressive insight into people – anticipating their next move – and importantly, hustling like a pro, prove vital to Shade and Angie’s success. After her father’s death, Angie picked up the mantle and now runs the agency to keep his legacy alive.  She uses her street smarts and strategic head which complements Shade’s more ‘green’ but passionate attitude to the job, and the wider world.

We had the pleasure of catching up with Priestly to have a chat about the show. He obligingly yet struggled to give us his own “previously on Private Eyes” recap to give us all a reminder of where the show stopped before it’s break. What we can expect from the rest as the season as well as confirming production has already begun on season 3. Finally, he reveals who exactly he still keeps in touch with from the old cast of Beverly Hills 90210.

Private Eyes, returns on June 4th, Mondays at 8pm on UNIVERSAL TV
