Jack O’Connell has been set to star in Legendary’s next venture into the monsterverse in ‘Godzilla x Kong’ follow-up.
Plot details are being kept under lock and key however, it is said the story will feature “several new human characters alongside the beloved and iconic Titans Godzilla and Kong as they face off against a cataclysmic world-ending threat.”
‘Booksmart’s’ Kaitlyn Dever will lead the cast which also sees the return of Dan Stevens, who played laid-back monster veterinarian and dentist Trapper in ‘Godzilla x Kong: The New Empire.’ O’Connell is taking on the role of Dever’s brother.

Grant Sputore (I Am Mother) is directing the creature feature from a script penned by Dave Callaham.
O’Connell’s upcoming projects include starring in ‘Sinners’ playing one of the villains opposite Michael B. Jordan and Danny Boyle’s return to the zombie genre with ’28 Years Later.’ His previous movies include the Amy Winehouse biopic ‘Back to Black’ as well as Michael Mann’s ‘Ferrari.’
