Ben Wheatley and J.G. Ballard are a match made in movie mayhem heaven. The blistering moral plummet of Ballard’s future shocks are given a potent direction in Wheatley’s film of cooped-up choas in a city block.

Tom Hiddleston looks to be having the time of his life here – will he enact Ballard’s famous opening for the novel in the film? You’ll have to see… It’s a film not easily forgotten, and builds on the solid, warped foundation of Wheatley’s films so far. Jeremy Irons, Sienna Miller, Luke Evans and the always-wonderful Elisabeth Moss line up against this particular wall alongside Hiddles.

The film is out in the UK on the 18th of March.

Here’s that trailer, lights down and volume up.
