It’s been a year and a half since Syfy lit the greenlight for another prequel series to the enormously successful remake of Battlestar Galactica, and now we have a trailer for Battlestar Galactica: Blood and Chrome.

It’s an unsubtle title but describes the land laid before us with the first Cylon war raging into its second decade with a young William Adama, recently graduated from ‘the’ academy, getting stuck in against the human-created Cylons onboard the flagship Galactica.

The two-hour pilot sees our hero embark on a dangerous mission which, if successful, will turn the tide of the war, that’s what this trailer sets up. Of course we know what happens, and how the war ends but that shouldn’t stop our enjoyment of another round of BSG hitting the airwaves, right? Right?

Here’s the trailer,
