Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice has finished shooting in Detroit and so the action has now moved to Chicago, the home of The Dark Knight Trilogy. The Daily Planet has already been created there, and last night saw British actor Henry Cavill don the iconic Superman costume to take flight on the set.

It could just be the lighting, but the red and blue of the suit looks a lot more colourful than what we saw in Man of Steel. This isn’t the first time that Superman has been spotted on set of course, but we now get a look at the iconic DC Comics character taking flight! Where’s the cape? It will be added with CGI in post.

As you can see by clicking on the images below for the full-size versions, Amy Adams was also there. She’ll reprise the role of Lois Lane in Batman v Superman, and fans watching the filming spotted the two characters embracing. Other than that, it’s hard to work out the context of what was being shot here!

It’s interesting that both Batman and Wonder Woman haven’t been spotted on set at all since shooting began; it could be because they’re being extra secretive with the two new additions to the DC Cinematic Universe or an indication that Superman very much has a leading role in this Man of Steel follow-up…
