According to Box Office Mojo Nicolas Cage will return to the big screen as the titular anti-hero on the 17th of February, 2012 – a short five years and one day after crashing and burning first time around.

Needless to say, I think I’m busy that day.

Ghost Rider 2, the otherwise monikered Spirit of Vengeance, will be shot in 3D with large portions of filming taking place in Romania. David Goyer will write the script – picking up the story eight years after the events of the first film, while Mike De Luca will produce.

Directing duties will this time fall to Mark Neveldine and Brian Taylor – who can hopefully inject a little Crank-esque madness to a franchise desperately lacking in humour.
