With the arrival of various ‘Friends’ cast members on Instagram, rumours have been flying that the iconic actors for the phenomenally successfully 90’s sitcom are to reunite. HBO has now confirmed those rumours by announcing a special one-off episode of the show.

15 years and nine months since the show ended, series stars Jennifer Aniston, Courteney Cox, Lisa Kudrow, Matt LeBlanc, Matthew Perry, and David Schwimmer will return to the iconic comedy’s original soundstage, Stage 24, on the Warner Bros. Studio lot in Burbank for a celebration of the beloved show.

The one-off reunion special will be unscripted, Ben Winston will direct the special and will executive produce along with Friends executive producers Kevin Bright, Marta Kauffman and David Crane. The show will be produced by Fulwell 73 Productions and Warner Bros, Unscripted & Alternative Television.

The special will air in May 2020 along with all 236 episodes of the Emmy®-winning series which will be available to subscribers at the launch of HBO Max.
