It won’t be long now until we get our first look at the latest Avengers adventure, Avengers: Infinity War, before its release next summer. A trailer was shown at Comic-Con and D23 earlier this year but we are yet to see the footage arrive online (thought rumours of a September 29th release persist).

But for Marvel and MCU fans, the first part of the two-hander is the pinnacle of the deacde-long crusade through the expanded cinematic universe. Its somewhat bittersweet in some respects and it may be the final time we see some of our favourite heroes, with rumours circulating that some of them won’t survive the onslaughts from Thanos (Josh Brolin).

Despite that, there is plenty to look forward too still with the first Black Panther film release early next year as well the return of Ant-Man and the Wasp, as well as a Spider-Man: Homecoming sequel and the first Captain Marvel film starring Brie Larson. And possibly back in the mix, somewhere somehow, might be the villanous Crossbones, payed by Frank Grillo.

The actor, also the star of The Purge sequels, spoke to ComicBookMovie about a possible return to the series. Could he appear in one of the future sequels/stand-alones? Grillo said:

“It’s great to be part of Marvel too,”

“I have three boys who are fanatical about Marvel, and I was surprised not too long ago because there is some news that nobody knows yet, to do with my character, that’s going to be really interesting and I’m excited about that.”

The next Marvel film, Thor: Ragnarok, is released in cinemas on October 27th.
