Written and directed by Scott Stewart (Priest, Legion), Dark Skies is the latest thriller heading our way by way of producer Jason Blum (Paranormal Activity, Insidious).
With its release now just a few months away, the first trailer has debuted over at Fandango, and gives us a great look at what promises to give us plenty of thrills and chills, and could well be the start of a new franchise, given the success of Blum’s past projects.

As husband and wife Daniel and Lacey Barret witness an escalating series of disturbing events involving their family, their safe and peaceful home quickly unravels. When it becomes clear that the Barret family is being targeted by an unimaginably terrifying and deadly force, Daniel and Lacey take matters in their own hands to solve the mystery of what is after their family.”
Keri Russell stars alongside Josh Hamilton, Annie Thurman, Dakota Goyo, and Trevor St. John.
Dark Skies will be released by The Weinstein Company in the US on 22nd February, 2013. No word yet on when we’ll be seeing it in the UK, but Momentum are set to release it on our shores, and hopefully we’ll see it arrive around the same time. For now, here’s the first trailer to enjoy.
