Marvel has today released the first batch of official images from Jessica Jones, the upcoming series which is set in the Marvel Cinematic Universe. Seeing as it follows on from Daredevil (which was a huge hit earlier this year), the series will need to do an awful lot to top that!
In this first look at the series, we see Krysten Ritter as Jessica Jones, Rachel Taylor as Trish Walker (a.k.a. Hellcat), Carrie-Anne Moss as Harper, Mike Colter as Luke Cage, and David Tennant as the Killgrave/ Purple Man. They don’t reveal an awful lot, but aren’t too bad for a first look at the series which is the second of Marvel and Netflix’s four Defenders shows.
One thing which immediately stands out is Colter’s Luke Cage; he looks perfect for the role!
The official synopsis for Jessica Jones reveals that, “After a tragic ending to her short-lived super hero stint, Jessica Jones is rebuilding her personal life and career as a detective who gets pulled into cases involving people with extraordinary abilities in New York City.”
