Earlier this year, Daredevil blew everyone away when all thirteen episodes debuted on Netflix. Hailed by some as Marvel’s best adaptation to date, the first of their Defenders series has already been given the green light for a second season which will air in 2016.

Luke Cage is also currently in the casting stages and expected to start shooting soon for release on the online streaming service late next year, but before both that and Daredevil comes Jessica Jones. The synopsis reveals that, “After a tragic ending to her short-lived super hero stint, Jessica Jones is rebuilding her personal life and career as a detective who gets pulled into cases involving people with extraordinary abilities in New York City.”

It’s now been confirmed that Jessica Jones will premiere on November 20th, and a very cool teaser can be seen in the player below. Breaking Bad’s Krysten Ritter is playing Jessica Jones, Mike Colter will make an appearance as Luke Cage, while David Tennant is going to be taking on the role of the villainous Zebediah Kilgrave, better known as Purple Man.

It’s going to be interesting to see how the series lives up to Daredevil, especially as the shows are both connected and will lead to the heroes all assembling for The Defenders.
