Universal Pictures has confirmed that the ‘Fast and Furious’ franchise will come to end with the 11th instalment in the series of films.
With the 9th film in the franchise having been pushed back a year until May 31st 2021, that leaves just a further 2 films left for audiences to enjoy.
Justin Lin, who directed the 3rd, 4th, 5th and 6th films and who has helmed the 9th is said to be in negotiations for the remaining films. It is also rumoured that they will apparently be a two-part story and scribe Chris Morgan will likely be back.
The 9th film will continue the storyline of the last few sequels with Charlize Theron and Helen Mirren returning whilst John Cena, Cardi B and Ozuna join the cast.
Due to the ongoing conflict between Vin Diesel and Dwayne Johnson, it is not known whether Johnson will be back to wrap up the saga.
