Following on from the two clips we saw from The Dark Knight Rises last night comes an aewsome extended look at a scene between Anne Hathaway’s Selina Kyle / Catwoman and Joseph Gordon-Levitt’s John Blake.

Warner Bros. have been working on a brilliant saturation campaign in recent weeks and months, and this latest clip comes courtesy of The Late Show with David Letterman over in the US.

“Warner Bros. Pictures’ and Legendary Pictures’ “The Dark Knight Rises” is the epic conclusion to filmmaker Christopher Nolan’s Dark Knight trilogy. It has been eight years since Batman vanished into the night, turning, in that instant, from hero to fugitive.  Assuming the blame for the death of D.A. Harvey Dent, the Dark Knight sacrificed everything for what he and Commissioner Gordon both hoped was the greater good.  For a time the lie worked, as criminal activity in Gotham City was crushed under the weight of the anti-crime Dent Act. But everything will change with the arrival of a cunning cat burglar with a mysterious agenda.  Far more dangerous, however, is the emergence of Bane, a masked terrorist whose ruthless plans for Gotham drive Bruce out of his self-imposed exile.  But even if he dons the cape and cowl again, Batman may be no match for Bane.”

Christian Bale returns for one final outing as the Dark Knight, alongside the immense cast headed up by Tom Hardy, Anne Hathaway, Joseph Gordon-Levitt, Michael Caine, Gary Oldman, Morgan Freeman, and Marion Cotillard.

Christopher Nolan is of course behind the camera for the epic conclusion, directing from a script he co-wrote with brother Jonathan, from a story by the director and David S. Goyer (Batman Begins, The Dark Knight).

The Dark Knight Rises will be released in regular and IMAX theatres next Friday, 20th July. No doubt about it: It’s going to be immense. Here’s a great new clip to kick up your anticipation, followed by Hathaway’s appearance on the show.

Since graduating, I spend as much time as possible watching films/TV shows, reading books, and listening to music. So getting to write about what I love is nothing short of awesome. Biggest film-related hope for 2014/ever: Guy Ritchie announcing the RocknRolla sequel is finally moving forward.
