Deadpool 2 has found itself with a major villain in the form of Jack Kesy, as to which villain he will portray, well that’s being kept under wraps for the time being but rumours abound it could be the X-Men enemy Black Tom.
Having clashed with Deadpool numerous times in the comic book series, Black Tom is the cousin of Banshee. He is indeed a mutant, he can manipulate, bond with, and project energy through plant life. He is also capable of issuing concussive blasts with a wooden object, usually a shillelagh. Tom was the black sheep of a prominent Irish family and secretly raised Banshee’s daughter Siryn, of whose existence Banshee was unaware, and conscripted her into his criminal gang. Black Tom was also a long time criminal partner of the super-strong villain Juggernaut, until Juggernaut’s reformation.
A career which looks to have been a bit thin on the ground to date, Jack Kesy is a constant in the TV series The Strain in which he plays a goth rock star who was one of the early plane passengers infected with the virus that turned them into vampires. You’ll also be able to see Kesy in Baywatch which is released next week, and 2018’s Horse Soldier which stars Chris Hemsworth and Michael Shannon.
David Leitch’s Deadpool, which is released in June 2018, is shaping up to be some hot property. Already onboard we have Josh Brolin set to play Cable. Morena Baccarin is back as Deadpool’s love interest Vanessa, Leslie Uggams as Blind Al, Stefan Kapacic as the metallic Colossus, Brianna Hildebrand as Negasonic Teenage Warhead and Zazie Beetz as Domino.
