Though our review is under embargo for another week it will be very interesting to see how Radcliffe’s legion of fans will take to his first leading role post-Potter, and Susan Hill’s dreary tale of fear and loathing (mainly fear, it has to be said) in Eel Marsh House is a far cry from the world of J.K. Rowling.
To put this clip in context the residents of the local village are so terrified of the eponymous spirit that they take extreme measures to protect those closest to them. Radcliffe plays Arthur Kipps, a fledgling solicitor tasked with visiting a remote village on the East Coast of England, there to finalise the affairs of a reclusive widow, and here we see him uncovering some of the town’s secrets.
The Sun had the clip first and a loud cheer of hurrah for them.
Here it is, steel yourself.
