We’re exactly three months away from the release of Valerian and the City of a Thousand Planets, so what better way to celebrate that fact with a whole bunch of brand new character posters of the Valerian gang?

The set of eight new posters depicts the crew individually including Dane DeHaan, Cara Delevingne and Rhianna in the vibrant and glossy images, set back inside the letter V in pre-posed stances oozing with their own individuality. The posters bring to question whether Luc Besson has had a hand in the marketing at all, each stylised image has his creative flair stamped all over them.

With a cast that includes Cara Delevingne, Dane DeHaan, Ethan Hawke, John Goodman, Clive Owen, Rihanna and the one and only Rutger Hauer, Besson’s glossy action adventure can’t come soon enough for us to feast our eyes on. Let’s just hope it doesn’t disappoint.

Valerian and the City of a Thousand Planets Synopsis

In the year 2740 Valerian and Laureline are special operatives for the government charged with maintaining order throughout the Universe. Under orders from their commander, Valerian and Laureline embark on a mission to the breathtaking intergalactic city of Alpha, an ever-expanding metropolis comprised of thousands of different species from all four corners of the galaxy. This great, historic city is under attack by an unknown enemy. Valerian and Laureline must race against time to find the source of this evil and stop it before it destroys the cornerstone of our Universe.
