Those lucky folks over at Comingsoon managed to blag themselves an invite from Marvel Studios and Paramount to visit the London sound stages, where Captain America: The First Avenger is currently shooting.

From the slightly brief article posted by Comingsoon, we can only assume that they were sworn to secrecy in relation to much of what they saw, however there were a few choice morsels to chew on, not to mention the sight of HeyUGuys regular Ben Mortimer holding the iconic shield.

They witnessed one scene set in a Nazi aeroplane, spoke with Marvel producer Kevin Feige, chatted with an assortment of costume designers and art directors, saw an array of costumes, spoke with Steve Rogers himself Chris Evans, as well as the villainous Red Skull, played by Hugo Weaving.

Comingsoon finish their article with the teasing/enigmatic “that’s just about all we can say right now” but they did say that from the footage they saw, director Joe Johnston seemed to be spot on.

Since this production is running a little behind Marvel’s other big-hitter for next summer (Thor), it stands to reason that it will take a little longer for more substantial news and footage to be released. As always, you will hear as soon as we do.
