We’re less than three weeks away before The Amazing Spider-Man hits the big screen, and things are looking pretty awesome for Marc Webb’s blockbuster debut.

Andrew Garfield and Emma Stone co-star in the leads as the eponymous Spider-Man and Gwen Stacy, alongside Rhys Ifans (as The Lizard), Martin Sheen, Sally Field, Denis Leary, C. Thomas Howell, Irrfan Khan, and of course Stan Lee himself.

The film’s official Facebook has released a great new poster, which sees Stone and Garfield front and centre, as well as a great new image of Stone as Gwen Stacy.

“The Amazing Spider-Man is the story of Peter Parker (Garfield), an outcast high schooler who was abandoned by his parents as a boy, leaving him to be raised by his Uncle Ben (Sheen) and Aunt May (Field). Like most teenagers, Peter is trying to figure out who he is and how he got to be the person he is today. Peter is also finding his way with his first high school crush, Gwen Stacy (Stone), and together, they struggle with love, commitment, and secrets. As Peter discovers a mysterious briefcase that belonged to his father, he begins a quest to understand his parents’ disappearance – leading him directly to Oscorp and the lab of Dr. Curt Connors (Ifans), his father’s former partner. As Spider-Man is set on a collision course with Connors’ alter-ego, The Lizard, Peter will make life-altering choices to use his powers and shape his destiny to become a hero.”

All we’ve seen so far suggests Webb has done a fantastic job with his superhero big-budget debut, directing from a script co-written by James Vanderbilt, Alvin Sargent, and Steve Kloves.

The Amazing Spider-Man will be released in 3D and IMAX 3D (tickets are on sale now) on 3rd July in the UK and US, so if the date wasn’t already in your mental calendar, commit it to memory now. This should be excellent. As usual with this great new poster and the following image, you can click to enlarge.
