“Welcome to Baywatch!” – yes after months and months of anticipation and promotion, the remake of the beloved television series is now just weeks away and in celebration of that fact, Paramount Pictures have released a new R-Rated trailer for the film, which you can view in the player below!

Directed by Seth Gordon (Horrible Bosses), Baywatch promises to be the biggest and best R-rated comedy of the year – and judging by this new trailer, they have but the “R” in restricted for sure. And after the failure of fellow television adaptation CHiPS earlier this year, this one is flying the flag to prove that not all shows that make it to the big screen are considered disappointments.

Leading the pack is Dwayne Johnson (Jumanji: Welcome to the Jungle, Fast & Furious 8) as Mitch Buchanan (famously played by David “The Hoff” Hasselhoff) who with the help of his newest recruit Matt Brody (Zac Efron – Dirty Grandpa, Mike and Dave Need Wedding Dates) set about trying to take down crime around their beach, leading them to local businesswoman Victoria Leeds (played by Quantico star Priyanka Chopra) who may herself be involved in some shady (and indeed illegal) dealings.

Alexandra Daddario (San Andreas), model Kelly Rohrbach and Jon Bass (Loving) co-star as well as cameos from Baywatch alumni The Hoff, Pamela Anderson and more. Stay tuned to HeyUGuys later this month for more coverage on the film as well as our review!

Here’s the official synopsis:

BAYWATCH follows devoted lifeguard Mitch Buchanan (Johnson) as he butts heads with a brash new recruit (Efron). Together, they uncover a local criminal plot that threatens the future of the Bay.

Baywatch is released in UK cinemas everywhere on May 29th. And we cannot wait!
