Warner Bros has launched the main trailer for the highly anticipated movie ‘Barbie.’
Greta Gerwig directs the feature. Co-written by Gerwig and Marriage Story’s Noah Baumbach, plot details are currently under wraps but sources indicate that there is a meta aspect to the proceedings. Will Ferrell is said to be playing the CEO of a toy company that may or not be Mattel.
Margot Robbie takes on the role of Barbie while Ryan Gosling takes on Ken. Kate McKinnon, Simu Liu, Alexandra Shipp, Emma Mackey and America Ferrera star.
Margot Robbie also serves as a producer on the movie under her LuckyChap Entertainment banner, which produced last year’s ‘Promising Young Woman.’ Other Producers also include LuckyChap’s Tom Ackerley and Josey McNamara; Mattel’s Robbie Brenner and Ynon Kreiz; and David Heyman.
