BAFTA-Poster-2013This Sunday night, all eyes will be on the Royal Opera House in London as it plays host to the British Academy Film Awards (a.k.a. the BAFTAs). Hosted by Stephen Fry, we’ve got a lot to look forward to in the ceremony, with some of the finest films of the past year contending for our country’s highest honours in the industry.

With just a few days to go, we’ve had a brilliant press release sent over confirming the list of people attending the ceremony, including all the big names you’d expect to see this year, and then some.

Nominees confirmed to be in attendance to date include, in alphabetical order:

Alicia Vikander, Amy Adams, Andrea Riseborough, Ang Lee, Anne Hathaway, Barbara Broccoli, Ben Affleck, Bradley Cooper, Sir Cameron Mackintosh, Christoph Waltz, Dame Judi Dench, Daniel Day-Lewis, Elizabeth Olsen, Eric Fellner, George Clooney, Dame Helen Mirren, Hugh Jackman, Javier Bardem, Jennifer Lawrence, Jessica Chastain, Joaquin Phoenix, Juno Temple, Marion Cotillard, Michael G. Wilson, Quentin Tarantino, Sally Field, Sam Mendes, Steven Spielberg, Suraj Sharma, Tim Bevan, Tim Burton, and Tom Hooper.

If you need a reminder or a little recap, you can see here the full list of nominations that were announced last month.

BAFTA and EE announced earlier in the week that the Red Carpet show will be 360 °, helping those of us unable to head out to London for the night feel even closer to the magic.

Edith Bowman will be hosting the red carpet show on BBC Three at 7:30pm.

And then Stephen Fry will take over for the ceremony itself on BBC One (and BBC One HD) at 9pm. I can’t wait. We’ll be following the events as they happen this Sunday, 10th February. And we hope that you’ll join us. For now, here’s the full press release confirming to date those in attendance at this year’s BAFTAs. And in case you need any persuading, here’s the beautiful British Academy Film Awards trailer for this year. It is rather inspirational.

And if you haven’t already, be sure to Vote for the EE Rising Star Award before 8th February!
