Most of the news revolving around Hollywood whirlwind Zack Snyder of late has been centered around his forthcoming Justice League cut. His dealings with millions of rabid fans may well have helped him during production on his return to the land of the dead. The first trailer for Army of the Dead, due out on Netflix on the 21st of May, shows that he hasn’t lost his touch when it comes to making the undead look beautiful.
The cast for AOTD is pretty stellar, with Dave Bautista leading his way alongside Ella Purnell, Omari Hardwick, Ana de la Reguera, Theo Rossi, Matthias Schweighöfer, Nora Arnezeder, Hiroyuki Sanada, Tig Notaro, Raúl Castillo, Huma Qureshi, Garret Dillahunt, Samantha Win, Richard Cetrone and Michael Cassidy.
The plot is simple as beans. Las Vegas heist + zombies. Not so much an elevator pitch as a doorstep one. However, from the looks of this trailer there’s much fun to be had with zombie Elvis and his chorus of manky showgirls.
