Armie Hammer has taken up the challenge to star in the forthcoming ten-episode ‘Godfather’ series ‘The Offer’ at Paramount+.

The series will follow the behind the scenes drama of the making of the iconic 1972. Hammer will play the role of Al Ruddy, who produced ‘The Godfather’. Based on Ruddy’s experiences alongside director Francis Ford Coppola, author Mario Puzo and producer Robert Evans. The series will include previously unrevealed experiences Ruddy had in making the picture.

Michael Tolkin will pen the script, Al Ruddy will also serve as an executive producer on the series. Tolkin will also serve as executive producer alongside Nikki Toscano and Leslie Grief. Paramount Television Studios will produce.

‘The Offer’ was one of several high-profile projects announced when ViacomCBS revealed they were rebranding the streaming service CBS All Access to Paramount Plus back in September.

Hammer is best known for his roles in ‘Call Me By Your Name’ for which he earned a Golden Globe nomination in 2018. He has also starred in films such as ‘The Man from U.N.C.L.E.,’ and ‘The Lone Ranger.’ He has also starred in TV series ‘Gossip Girl,’ ‘Reaper,’ and ‘American Dad’.
