Timur Bekmambetov returns behind the camera with Abraham Lincoln: Vampire Hunter next month, and after the new green-band trailer was released for the film yesterday, we’ve now got a short new promo to share today, entitled ‘Fraction of the Truth’.

The cast is very much impressive, with Benjamin Walker playing the presidential lead, supported by Mary Elizabeth Winstead, Dominic Cooper, Alan Tudyk, Anthony Mackie, and Rufus Sewell. And whilst I’ll admit I was sceptical at first, all we’ve seen so far has me rather tempted to see it on the big screen next month.

“Abraham Lincoln: Vampire Hunter explores the secret life of our greatest president, and the untold story that shaped our nation. Visionary filmmakers Tim Burton and Timur Bekmambetov (director of Wanted) bring a fresh and visceral voice to the bloodthirsty lore of the vampire, imagining Lincoln as history’s greatest hunter of the undead.”

Bekmambetov directs from a script co-written by Seth Grahame-Smith and Simon Kinberg (X-Men: The Last Stand, Mr. & Mrs. Smith), adapting Grahame-Smith’s own book, with Tim Burton producing.

Abraham Lincoln: Vampire Hunter will be released in the UK on 20th June before going across the Atlantic two days later for a 22nd June release in the US. Here’s the new promo to whet your appetites. (It’s true, I don’t recall reading about Lincoln’s vampire-hunting exploits in any of my history books.)
