6. Darth Plagueis
To really delve into the history of the Star Wars Universe, a TV show might want to consider going back as far as the time of Darth Plagueis. The Sith Lord was responsible for training Darth Sidious (better known to fans as The Emperor), and there’s definitely potential here – Sidious even told the young Anakin the tale of his mentor’s death – if they ditch the nonsense about midi-chlorians.
Whether viewers could get on board with a show devoted entirely to villains is tricky to say, but getting our first real look inside the world of the Sith and seeing the young Palpatine develop into the villain we all know from the Star Wars movies would no doubt be satisfying. However, Plagueis’ ties to the EU could mean they avoid telling his story for now.
