7. A Story Set During The New Trilogy
As we still know so little about the new Star Wars Trilogy, it’s hard to say what a series set in this time period could focus on, but the possibilities are obviously endless. Any of the lead characters introduced in The Force Awakens will likely be off limits, but it wouldn’t really be all that difficult to introduce a couple of supporting players who could then take the lead on the small screen.
Even though the “Expanded Universe” stories are no longer canon, Star Wars fans still know both the original and prequel trilogies extremely well, so exploring this unfamiliar and very new time period would be the ideal basis for a TV show. It could also help fill in the gaps between the two trilogies, not to mention expanding the stories of the new one.
