8. “Welcome to the Planet” (Man of Steel)

Like The Amazing Spider-Man 2 last year, Man of Steel did away with the newspaper that the titular character is so well-known for being associated with. While we did get to see plenty of The Daily Planet thanks to Lois Lane and Perry White, this origin story didn’t feature Clark Kent working alongside them.

It also didn’t feature his iconic glasses, but impatient (and by this point, extremely fretful) fans were rewarded in the final moments of the reboot when White introduced the now bespectacled Kent to his colleagues, with Lane cheekily welcoming the Man of Steel to “The Planet”. Between this great moment of fan service and Hans Zimmer’s fantastic score swelling in the background, this was a moment which should have given even non-fans a chill down their spine!

  4. Yeah, no. Top 10 moments from comic movies that I felt like putting into a clickvertising list, sure.

    Collector scene, granted it’s been close to two decades since I read comics books, but the first thing I did when I got home was google who the hell that was at the end. Read it all, and still had no idea who it was.

    Days of Future Past tie in was probably my favorite, giving additional credit to it because I didn’t have to wait through the entirety of the credits to see it! However the fact the author says The Wolverine is the movie the fans want? Yeah… got to disagree like a billion percent with that.
