The long awaited sequel to M. Night Shyamalan’s Superhero/Comic Book Movie Trilogy is here. Glass is about to smash into cinemas around the world, bring together the worlds of David Dunn (Bruce Willis – Unbreakable), Mr. Glass (Samuel L. Jackson – Unbreakable) and James McAvoy (Hedwig/Kevin Wendell Crumb/The Beast – Split).

The film stars Bruce Willis, Samuel L. Jackson, James Mcavoy, Anya Taylor-joy, and the wonderful Sarah Paulson. Also appearing are Luke Kirby, Spencer Treat Clark, Charlene Woodard and Jane Park Smith.

On the red carpet Samuel L Jackson talks about returning to the character of Elijah/ Mr. Glass, and how the time between the end of Unbreakable has affected his character. He also talks about the difference of playing heroes such as Nick Fury for the Marvel MCU movies, and this villain. He believes the films are from different genres, and how people in the Unbreakable universe are pushed to extremes, rather than being born with them. And he’s just like us – the Avengers: Endgame trailer is all he’s seen of the movie too…

Anya Taylor-Joy talks about the excitement of receiving and reading the script, and teh unexpected evolution of her character’s special relationship with James McAvoy’s character(s). McAvoy agrees, and talks about the surprise of where their characters ended up, and the daring challenge of playing multiple characters.

M. Night Shyamalan talks about commenting on the metatextual element of comic book movies in the Glass universe, and how that examination helps to better understand the themes of the movie. He also talks of the excitement at bringing together the different characters from the three movies.
