The-Amazing-Spider-Man-2-Spidey-SuitThe first trailer for The Amazing Spider-Man 2 will debut this week on 5th December, and as we’ve now come to expect, the studio is keen to build the buzz for the trailer itself, let alone the film.

There’s just three days left before the full trailer lands, and now the first preview teasers have surfaced, giving us a look at Spidey in action.

In The Amazing Spider-Man 2, for Peter Parker (Andrew Garfield), life is busy – between taking out the bad guys as Spider-Man and spending time with the person he loves, Gwen (Emma Stone), high school graduation can’t come quickly enough. Peter hasn’t forgotten about the promise he made to Gwen’s father to protect her by staying away – but that’s a promise he just can’t keep. Things will change for Peter when a new villain, Electro (Jamie Foxx), emerges, an old friend, Harry Osborn (Dane DeHaan), returns, and Peter uncovers new clues about his past.

Andrew Garfield of course reprises his leading role as Peter Parker / Spider-Man, with Emma Stone taking the female lead again as Gwen Stacy, and a stellar ensemble led by Dane DeHaan, Paul Giamatti, Felicity Jones, Sally Field, Martin Sheen, Chris Cooper, Brian Haley, Colm Feore, and B.J. Novak.

Marc Webb is behind the camera once more, directing from a script co-written by Alex Kurtzman and Roberto Orci (Star Trek, Transformers) and Jeff Pinkner (Fringe, Lost), based on a previous draft by James Vanderbilt (The Amazing Spider-Man).

The Amazing Spider-Man 2 will be released in 3D on May 2nd, 2014. Be sure to check back on Thursday for when the full trailer hits.

Since graduating, I spend as much time as possible watching films/TV shows, reading books, and listening to music. So getting to write about what I love is nothing short of awesome. Biggest film-related hope for 2014/ever: Guy Ritchie announcing the RocknRolla sequel is finally moving forward.
