He doesn’t mention much, but reveals that he has been talking to the makers about appearing in it. These are Jason Segel and Nick Stoller, who are both co-wrote on the project. Stoller was the director on Segal’s Forgetting Sarah Marshall, and the creative force behind that film’s spin-off from this year, Get Him to the Greek.
This new take on The Muppets (the first since 2005’s TV feature The Muppets’ Wizard of Oz) stars Segel and a new Muppet named Walter as they try to save the Muppet studio from closure.
Here’s hoping Galifianakis signs on that dotted line. His appearance will almost certainly add a good dose of comedy to proceedings and guarantee at least one huge belly laugh or two.
