Prime Video has lit the fuse on a fresh Victorian adventure, unveiling the official trailer for ‘Young Sherlock,’ a bold origin story that reimagines the world’s most famous detective as a restless, sharp-edged teenager still learning how to bend chaos into clarity.
Starring Hero Fiennes Tiffin (After series) as the prodigious sleuth, the eight-episode drama arrives on 4 March 2026, streaming exclusively on Prime Video. Guided by director Guy Ritchie.
In ‘Young Sherlock’, a charismatic and defiantly youthful Holmes crosses paths with the enigmatic James Moriarty, pulling him into a murder investigation that threatens not only his freedom but the very shape of his future. What begins as a single case spirals into a globe-trotting conspiracy, culminating in an explosive confrontation destined to alter the course of his life. Set against a richly textured Victorian England and stretching into adventures abroad, the story reveals the anarchic early days of a boy not yet tempered into Baker Street’s master of deduction.
The ensemble cast brings further gravitas and intrigue, with previously announced stars including Dónal Finn (The Wheel of Time), Zine Tseng (3-Body Problem), Joseph Fiennes (The Handmaid’s Tale), Natascha McElhone (Halo), Max Irons (Condor), and Colin Firth (The King’s Speech). Ritchie directs the first two episodes and serves as executive producer, while the series is created for television and executive-produced by showrunner Matthew Parkhill.
