With Spielberg directing his version of Michael Morpurgo?’s novel, itself already well-known as a stage play, we can expect a severe heartstring-tugging in amongst all the horseplay.
The non-equine cast looks pretty solid with Jeremy Irvine leading Benedict Cumberbatch, Tom Hiddleston? Peter Mullan, Emily Watson?, David Thewlis, David Kross?, Stephen Graham and Patrick Kennedy.

Set against a sweeping canvas of rural England and Europe during the First World War?, “War Horse” begins with the remarkable friendship between a horse named Joey and a young man called Albert, who tames and trains him.
