The cast of the next Bourne movie is shaping up to be downright amazing, with Matt Damon obviously set to return as Jason Bourne and Julia Stiles reprising her role from the first three movies. Meanwhile, new additions so far include Alicia Vikander and Tommy Lee Jones.

Now, Vincent Cassel (Child 44) has been targeted for a villainous role in the highly anticipated release. Plot details are being kept a closely guarded secret, but it’s believed that the actor will be playing an assassin who is tasked with tracking down the titular hero.

The currently untitled movie – rumours point to it being called “The Bourne Enemy” – is set to be released on July 29th, 2016, the date which was originally held by the Jeremy Renner led Bourne Legacy follow-up. However, after the tepid response to that movie, it’s hardly a surprise that Universal decided to prioritise this collaboration from Greengrass and Damon.

The Bourne franchise has a history of memorable villains, with actors like  Clive Owen, Karl Urban and Edgar Ramirez taking on Jason Bourne before moving on to even bigger roles.

Matt Damon recently revealed some new details about both the direction of this movie and the locations it will be shooting in, so be sure to click here for all the details on that.
