As if the Fast and Furious and xXx Xander Cage franchise fame wasn’t enough for Vin Diesel, the action star has landed himself another vehicle franchise at STX films in action comedy Muscle.

Plot details are being kept firmly top secret at this stage as well as a director or even a writer. Vin Diesel and his production company One Race Films are teaming up with STX Entertainment. One Race’s Samantha Vincent is attached alongside Diesel as a producer, as are Reginald Hudlin and Byron Phillips, who brought Muscle to STX.

Adam Fogelson, Chairman of STXfilms, says in a statement: “I’ve known Vin for more than a decade after working closely with him on the Fast and Furious franchise and I’m excited for him to return to this genre. Muscle is the perfect blend of action and comedy that his millions of devoted fans around the world have come to love him for, and we believe has the potential to become his next big, signature franchise.

A production schedule has also yet to be confirmed.

Diesel was last heard of as the voice of Groot in Avengers: Infinity War, which is now the highest-grossing superhero movie ever. The man is keeping himself busy, he also has the fourth instalment in the xXx saga and a ninth Fast and Furious movie lined up which is also expected to land in 2020. Not only that, but he also has Bloodshot for Sony to film this summer too.
