Sean Penn’s begothed appearance haunted the festival circuit in 2011 and now Paolo Sorrentino’s film This Must Be the Place is out in UK cinemas today.
The film’s trailer painted a marvellously odd premise of an aging rocker going on a strange journey of discovery and revenge when his estranged father passes away. Unsurprisingly music plays a large part in the texture of the film and we’ve got an interview with David Byrne for you today.
Byrne talks about working with Will Oldham for the film’s soundtrack as well as writing new music together, as the nicely monikered The Pieces of Shit, for the film, as well as starring in the film alongside Sean Penn.
